Sandra is a Licensed, Independent, Clinical Social Worker and Certified Attachment Focused Therapist with over 25 years of experience serving a broad spectrum of children and families, especially those who have been involved in the child welfare system. Sandra’s areas of practice specialty include best practice treatment of attachment issues, pediatric trauma, grief, infant mental health, pre and post adoption issues (foster, domestic, and international), parenting, parenting/attachment assessment, mood disorders and relationship issues.
Sandra received her Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. She has done extensive post graduate work in the areas of attachment, trauma, grief, adoption, child abuse/neglect and infant mental health. She is a graduate of Deborah Gray’s Attachment Focused Therapy program and a regular participant in Deborah’s educational consult group which provides continuing education in the emerging theory and research in the areas of adoption practice, neglect and abuse, prenatal exposure to toxins, development of affect regulation and the treatment of trauma in the specialized populations of foster care and adoption. Sandra is a Registered Circle of Security Parent Educator. She volunteers as a DCFS Child Protection Team member and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
