Lisa Erickson, MS, LMHC, specializes in working with giftedness and treating addictions, depression, Axis II diagnoses and physical and sexual abuse. She has been in private practice for close to thirty years in Seattle. She taught in a graduate psychology program for many years and now enjoys teaching professionals via continuing education offerings. She writes and trains nationally on topics related to high IQ adult and adolescents. Until recently Lisa was clinical director at a Native American behavioral health program for children and youth where she learned that special population consults can never replace the therapeutic value of culturally specific services.
Lisa has been a past president of the Washington Mental Health Counselors Association, Seattle Counselors Association, and Co-chair of the DOH advisory Committee for Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists. She has been training others in Clinical Supervision for many years and was part of the group that proposed the initial language for the Approved Supervisor WAC.
Lisa has been a presenter for Cascadia Training for over 15 year now.
