This training workshop will introduce you to the foundational principles of trauma-informed therapy, emphasizing the importance of safety, trust, and empowerment in the healing process. Trauma leaves profound imprints on the brain, body, and emotions, affecting how clients perceive the world and engage in relationships. You will understand how trauma impacts neurobiology and learn essential strategies for creating a therapeutic environment that fosters regulation, resilience, and recovery. Key concepts will include the role of attunement, grounding techniques, and establishing a collaborative, non-pathologizing approach to trauma work.
This workshop blends theoretical insights with practical applications, equipping you with tools to identify trauma responses, work with triggers, and enhance clients’ sense of agency. We will explore trauma-sensitive interventions that can be integrated into various therapeutic modalities. By the end of the session, you will have a solid foundation in trauma-informed care, enabling you to respond to trauma-related presentations with sensitivity and skill while avoiding re-traumatization.
