Continuing Education Workshop Description:
Neurodivergent clients often experience unique stressors, sensory sensitivities, and societal pressures that can make standard self-care recommendations less effective or even overwhelming.
This brief but information-packed continuing education workshop introduces psychotherapists to tailored approaches for supporting self-care in neurodivergent populations. Participants will explore strategies for co-creating self-care plans that honor clients’ needs, preferences, and neurodiverse experiences, while promoting well-being, resilience, and autonomy.
Attendees will learn how to adapt self-care practices to be accessible, meaningful, and sustainable for neurodivergent clients. Therapists will leave with tools to help clients identify personalized self-care routines, manage stress effectively, and enhance overall quality of life.
Continuing Education Workshop Objectives:
- Develop an understanding of the unique self-care needs and challenges faced by neurodivergent clients.
- Learn strategies for co-creating accessible and meaningful self-care plans tailored to individual neurodivergent experiences.
- Identify ways to support clients in implementing sustainable self-care practices that enhance well-being and resilience.
