What if the key to mental well-being isn’t just about fixing what’s broken, but building on what’s already working? Positive psychology offers a transformative approach by focusing on strengths, resilience, and the potential for growth. This introductory training will introduce you to the principles and practical applications of positive psychology, providing tools to help your clients cultivate greater life satisfaction, happiness, and meaning. We will explore evidence-based interventions such as gratitude practices, strengths identification, and fostering flow experiences, while learning how to integrate these techniques into traditional therapeutic frameworks. Through experiential exercises and case discussions, you will leave with actionable strategies for promoting well-being and helping clients thrive.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Develop an understanding of the core concepts and research foundations of positive psychology.
  2. Learn evidence-based interventions that focus on strengths, resilience, and well-being, including gratitude practices, strengths-based approaches, and mindfulness techniques.
  3. Identify client issues that can be reframed from a positive psychology perspective to foster growth, empowerment, and life satisfaction.
  4. Practice applying positive psychology interventions to enhance client well-being, motivation, and overall quality of life.
