Hold your hat, folks, because this is going to be a jam-packed day of learning! Spend the morning in didactic and small group learning with B Lourenco where she’ll provide a comprehensive overview of physical, learning, and mental health overlaps that commonly occur with AuDHD profiles. After lunch, B will be joined by a few of her colleagues for a roundtable discussion, during which class attendees can ask questions and receive collective answers from people who have made these topics their AuDHD special interests. WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
- Describe the difference between innate and acquired forms of Neurodivergence
- Identify at least 2 commonly co-occurring physical differences or diagnoses for AuDHD individuals
- Identify at least 2 commonly occurring learning differences for AuDHD individuals
- Identify at least 2 commonly occurring mental health concerns AuDHD individuals
- Explain why eating disorders and/or substance abuse may be more common for AuDHDers
- Learn ways to help your clients advocate for their care within the medical model system
