With the overlap of certain mental health diagnoses being more common with ADHDers and Autistics, it can get confusing to understand just what the distinctions are. When we add in the prevalence of trauma, some of our cases get very complicated very quickly. This workshop will help clinicians make sense of complex scenarios where trauma and neurodivergence meet, with a focus on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
After this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the prevalence of trauma in ND populations.
- Describe ways that trauma impacts Neurodivergent individuals.
- Identify and define Dissociative Identity Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder through an affirming lens.
