There is a plethora of evidence that Autism and ADHD are likely genetic and neurodivergence runs in families. What does it mean to have neurodivergent traits that run through family lines? How does diagnosis or identification influence family stories? This course will address these questions while exploring common identities in Family Systems and how AuDHD traits may contribute to these familial legacies.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:

After this course, attendees will be able to:

  1. Describe how parenting styles impact neurodivergent children.
  2. Explain how long-term family culture is defined by neurodivergence.
  3. Explore the ways that the ADHD and Autistic experience may shift over the lifetime.
