Continuing Education Workshop Description:

Anxiety is one of the most common presenting concerns in therapy, impacting clientsโ€™ emotional well-being, relationships, and daily functioning.

This continuing education workshop introduces psychotherapists to evidence-based strategies for assessing, understanding, and managing anxiety in clinical practice. Participants will explore the psychological, physiological, and behavioral dimensions of anxiety, as well as practical interventions to reduce distress and enhance coping.

Through discussion and experiential exercises, attendees will learn how to apply cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and somatic techniques to support clients in managing anxiety. Therapists will leave with practical tools to help clients regulate their nervous system, reframe anxious thoughts, and build resilience in the face of uncertainty and stress.

Continuing Education Workshop Objectives:

  1. Develop an understanding of the psychological, physiological, and behavioral aspects of anxiety.
  2. Learn evidence-based strategies, including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and somatic approaches, for managing anxiety in therapy.
  3. Identify ways to integrate anxiety management interventions into assessment, treatment planning, and clinical sessions.
