EMDR is a widely known and effective method of treating and eradicating the neurological manifestations of chronic pain and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS). In addition, our presenter, Robin Shapiro–a highly-respected EMDR practitioner and in-demand global presenter in EMDR and its clinical applications–has discovered that EMDR can also provide relief from many of the symptoms of Long Covid, including tinnitus.
Participants will learn how to use EMDR, vagal exercises, and imaging to ease, and often completely clear the experiences of chronic pain, tinnitus, Long Covid, and MCS.
The workshop includes lecture, a video, a demonstration, and practice exercises.
Objectives:
- Participants can distinguish between physiological and neurological symptoms.
- Participants can complete EMDR Standard Protocol treatment on the appropriate targets for onset of the problem.
- Participants can utilize Silencing the Alarm, Negative Breathing, and Grounding techniques for vagal calming.
- Participants can assist clients to discover and utilize visual tools for vagal calming.
- Participants can utilize EMDR future templates to coach clients to use vagal calming techniques when symptoms reappear.
- Participants can support both short-term and longer-term clients with neurological symptoms.
