SUMMARY:Menopause and Mental Health: Navigating the Challenges from Perimenopause to Post-Menopause
DESCRIPTION:Meets Health Equity or Cultural Competence Continuing Education Requirements!\nMenopause and Mental Health: Navigating the Challenges from Perimenopause to Post-Menopause\nPresented by Rebecca Bloom\, LMHC (she/her)\nWhen: Friday\, September 18th\, 2026\, 2025 | 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Pacific Time\nWhere: Live via Zoom. You’ll receive the Zoom link the week of the workshop.\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 6 CEs (meets criteria for Health Equity or Cultural Competence CEs) | Cost: $199.00\nThe experience of pre-menopause/perimenopause\, menopause\, and post-menopause is rarely talked about\, but thousands of people are diagnosed daily with menopause-related challenges. \nIt shows up in clinical settings in many ways: if someone has been medically induced and is having many symptoms at once; if the whole family system is under stress because “now Mom is mad all the time;” if a client cannot get a medical doctor to address that all her symptoms are connected; or a client feels sex is just “too painful now” and plans never to have sex again. \nAs clinicians who may be in perimenopause\, menopause\, or post-menopause ourselves\, do not understand our own bodies anymore and may find our work life more difficult than ever. \nYou may have a 48-year-old female client referred by a medical doctor. This new client has no history of depression\, but suddenly\, she cannot get out of bed\, she cannot track her thoughts\, and her blood pressure is through the roof. In this workshop\, you will learn that these are all symptoms of perimenopause or menopause. \nIn this workshop\, you will gain an in-depth knowledge of the 37 most common symptoms of perimenopause and menopause that affect us physically\, mentally\, emotionally\, cognitively\, and spiritually. \nIn addition\, you will learn how to talk with your clients about these symptoms and how to help them advocate outside the walls of your office for themselves and the medical care they need. We will also look at how biases and inequalities surrounding race and gender (collectively\, we’ll say women\, but we mean that in a very inclusive way to include those who identify as a woman\, those who are assigned female at birth (AFAB) but are transgender or non-binary but still have female reproductive organs and hormones)\, LGBTQIA+\, socio-economic status\, and more impact whether someone receives accessible\, affordable\, adequate\, and effective health care. \nWe will also explore how the lack of adequate medical care for girls\, women\, and those AFAB continues throughout their lifespan and greatly impacts all aspects of their lives. This lack of adequate\, affirming medical attention leads to this natural hormonal experience negatively impacting “everything” in our lives. \nThe destabilization and loss process in menopause will be explored from various angles. What does it mean to no longer be of “child-bearing age”? Is that transition cause for celebration? Is it a tremendous loss? What does it currently mean to be a “crone”? We will explore how this role has changed over time and in various cultures. \nThe latest neuroscience research suggests that the loss of estrogen in the brain has major impacts on many bodily systems. What does it mean to go on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)? Some current research suggests that HRT is safe for up to ten years. We will examine why this protocol changed and what it means for our clients and ourselves. \nWe will also explore natural options for care and support during the various phases of menopause. “Have your fans at the ready!” Let’s spend the day talking about menopause and learning about what impacts our receiving affirming\, effective medical care\, including the fact that the average medical doctor receives only one hour– in TOTAL—of formal training on menopause. You will leave this workshop knowing much more than when you arrived\, knowledge that will help your clients and you on your journey. \nObjectives:\n\nLearn the three stages of menopause.\nLearn the 37 most common symptoms of menopause.\nAddress how to help clients feel more stable in this process.\nLearn how culture impacts on menopause.\nAddress the experience of gender and gender bias across the lifespan.\nDestigmatize menopause and encourage authentic\, effective discussions.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n

SUMMARY:🆕 BRAND-NEW! Pleasure in the Treatment Room 🆕
DESCRIPTION:Brand-New!\nMeets Law & Ethics\, Health Equity\, Cultural Competence\, and/or Professional Roles & Boundaries Continuing Education Requirements!\nPleasure in the Treatment Room\nPresented by Rebecca Bloom\, LMHC (she/her)\nWhen: Friday\, October 9th\, 2026 | 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Pacific Time\nWhere: Live on Zoom. You will receive your Zoom link/invitation the week of the workshop.\nContinuing Education Credit Hours (NBCC and NASW-WA Approved): 6 CEs (meets criteria for 2 Law & Ethics\, 3 Health Equity or Cultural Competence CEs\, and/or 2 Professional Roles & Boundaries CEs) | Cost: $199.00\nContinuing Education Workshop Description:\nHow do we talk about pleasure in the treatment room? Do you feel comfortable talking with your clients about intimacy? How do we talk about what we desire and what we want to say “No” to? In this 6-CE continuing education workshop\, we will explore all of this and more — using the most current research and writings on Sex Therapy as the foundation for the workshop. \nOver the past twenty-five years\, Rebecca’s clinical work has centered on helping adult survivors of complex trauma reclaim safety\, agency\, and connection after profound experiences of betrayal and harm. Much of this work has involved sitting with the realities of developmental trauma\, attachment wounds\, and the long-lasting effects of abuse perpetrated by trusted individuals. \nAs the presenter begins integrating intimacy and couples counseling more intentionally into my practice\, she has become increasingly aware of how essential conversations about pleasure\, embodiment\, and desire are within trauma treatment. Our clients often learn how to endure\, protect\, and disconnect long before they are given permission to explore what feels good\, nourishing\, or truly wanted—to discover what brings them pleasure. \nRebecca’s theoretical foundation has been strongly informed by post-graduate training and completion of Levels One and Two at the Sensory Psychotherapy Institute. Using this sensory-informed approach during the workshop\, we will explore safe ways for your clients to discuss what their bodies and minds want most—what is pleasurable to them. \nWe will take time to really look at human physiology and how each of our parts work. This approach emphasizes mindfulness\, nervous system awareness\, and the importance of tracking bodily experience as part of healing. \nWhen clients begin to slow down through mindfulness and sense perception\, they often discover that they have limited experience identifying what they genuinely want. By helping clients attend to sensory experiences in the present moment\, therapists can support the development of curiosity\, self-trust\, and emotional regulation. This process creates space for clients to recognize preferences\, boundaries\, pleasure\, and longing in ways that may have previously felt inaccessible or unsafe. \nWe will also explore issues that complicate desire. The most common topics among these that come up in the treatment room include nonmonogamy\, kink\, how our bodies work\, pornography\, family systems and beliefs\, and societal messaging. \nRather than approaching intimacy solely through cognition or narrative processing\, helping clients remain grounded and present in their bodies creates opportunities for deeper self-understanding and relational connection. Embodied awareness can become a pathway not only toward healing trauma\, but also toward cultivating intimacy that feels authentic\, consensual\, and alive. \nContinuing Education Workshop Objectives:\nLearning Goals for “Pleasure in the Treatment Room”: \n\nDefining pleasure and intimacy.\nDiscovering psychosocial aspects of desire\, gender\, and kink.\nUnderstanding medical conditions that impair sexual functioning.\nComprehending common sexual challenges in relationships.\nExploring issues regarding the use of pornography.\nUnderstanding contemporary models for treatment of sexual problems.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Tarot and Therapy: Intuition and Metaphor
DESCRIPTION:Law & Ethics CEs!\nTarot and Therapy: Intuition and Metaphor\nPresented by: Rebecca Bloom\, ATR-BC\, LMHC (she/her)\nWhen: Friday\, December 4\, 2026 | 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Pacific Time\nWhere: Live on Zoom. You will receive your Zoom link/invitation the week of the workshop.\nContinuing Education Credits: CEs: 6 CEs – 3 Law & Ethics CEs | $199.00\, which includes $174.00 tuition plus $25.00 for Ephemera Art Supply Packs Created by Rebecca Bloom Especially for Cascadia Training Registrants. Art supply packs will be mailed to registrants in advance of the workshop.\nWhy is Tarot so popular right now? Are your clients coming in talking about the card they pulled before the session and you have no idea what that means? Have you used tarot for years for your own well being and would love to use it with mental health clients but not sure how? \nMost clients come into therapy saying that they do not have access to their intuition and are not sure how to trust what the right choices are to make in their lives. Using a single card pulled from a tarot deck\, and exploring the client’s meaning of the card\, clients can begin to feel connected to their own sense of self\, clients can find new ways to safely explore difficult experiences and find ways to test out feeling grounded again. \nStarting with the Jungian concepts of Archetypes we will look at how the collective sense of self represents over these twelve types of being.  Then we will explore the history and uses of tarot. These seventy-eight cards have been used for hundreds of years. Using the Rider-Waite-Smith deck\, from 1909\, as a starting place we will look at many of the decks available today and why people turn to them every day or when times get difficult. \nWe will explore intuition and how to trust our own sense of knowing. In this hands-on workshop\, you will make five of your own cards.  Exploring the major arcana\, and the suits of cups\, pentacles\, swords and wands we will learn the journeys of each of these sets. \nObjectives:\n\nLearn archetypes of Jung and Tarot.\nLearn why the creative process soothes the body and the mind.\nFind materials you will be comfortable using with your clients.\nUse art making for your own self-care.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n
