SUMMARY:Implicit Bias and Healthcare Equity: The Impact of Self-Awareness
DESCRIPTION:Meets Cultural Competence or Health Equity CE Requirements! \nImplicit Bias and Healthcare Equity: The Impact of Self-Awareness\nPresented by: Dreya Blume\, LCSW\nWhen: Wednesday\, March 25th\, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM\, Pacific Time\nWhere: Live on Zoom. You will receive your Zoom link/invitation the week of the workshop.\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 3 Health Equity or Cultural Competence CEs | $99.00\nAge\, race\, ethnicity\, weight\, gender\, social class\, religion\, sexual identity\, gender identity\, profession…this list\, of course\, is incomplete. The point is that there are multitudes of differences between people. Unfortunately\, an interaction with another person can trigger unconsciously held negative or stigmatizing attitudes. Even more worrying\, the research shows that unconscious (i.e.\, implicit) biases of mental health professionals influence how they assess and treat their clients. \nTo address this problem\, this workshop aims to assist clinicians in increasing their awareness of internalized biases toward particular groups. But awareness isn’t enough. We will also explore managing biases\, changing behavior\, and tracking progress. This work will help you reassess your paperwork\, evaluate how you run your clinical practice\, and explore how you might best serve clients\, regardless of their background. \nWe might have little control over our biases\, but what we do have is the power to ensure that those attitudes do not prevent us from treating clients equitably and with dignity. \nWorkshop Objectives:\nParticipants in this workshop will be able to: \n\nDescribe the features of implicit biases.\nLocate and recognize internal biases.\nConsider how to utilize this awareness to create a standard of best practices for their clinical work.\nCreate strategies for managing their implicit biases.\nDevelop strategies that can lead to behavior change in terms of addressing and shifting their biases.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n

SUMMARY:Clinical Supervision Training: (Almost) Everything You Need to Know
DESCRIPTION:Meets requirements to become an approved clinical supervisor!\nLaw & Ethics CEs!\nClinical Supervision Training: (Almost) Everything You Need to Know\nPresented by: Eric Ström\, PhD\, Attorney at Law\, LMHC \nWhen: Wednesday\, March 25th – Friday\, March 27th\, 2026 | 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM Pacific Time each day\nWhere: Live on Zoom. You will receive your Zoom link/invitation the week of the workshop.\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 15 CEs (10 Law & Ethics CEs) | $395.00 (see below for payment options)\nThis workshop meets the training requirement for becoming an Approved Clinical Supervisor.\nProviding supervision can be a rewarding addition to a clinical practice. However\, many clinicians are reluctant to become supervisors due to legal and ethical liability concerns.  These concerns are often increased by a lack of accurate information about the true risks of liability faced by supervisors. \nThrough direct instructions\, presentation of real-life scenarios\, and group discussions\, participants will understand the fundamentals of supervision best practices to improve their effectiveness and skill as clinical supervisors. \nThis three-day\, 15-hour supervision workshop is designed to meet the training requirements for Washington State Approved Supervisors.\nObjectives:\n• Identify and assess sources of significant liability in supervision; \n• Construct effective strategies for creating a sound supervision agreement; \n• Describe key conceptual frameworks for supervision; \n• Compare various theoretical approaches to supervision; \n• Contrast various types of supervisory relationships; \n• Examine the benefits between group and individual supervision settings; \n• Summarize the legal and ethical regulation of supervision; \n• Maximize supervisor\, supervisee\, and client success through supervision structure; \n• Integrate regulation and practice to provide quality supervision documentation. \nPayment Options\nCascadia Training values quality continuing education that is accessible\, inclusive\, and without barriers to all. We never want the cost of our workshops to be a barrier to attending one of our workshops\, particularly our multi-session workshops. \nWe offer several options to make our workshops cost-inclusive: payment plans and a limited number of discounts for students and early professionals. \nFor payment plans\, you can select paying 50% today and 50% due by March 31st\, 2026. \nPlease email us at hello@cascadiatraining.org to inquire about possible discounts. \nREGISTER HERE\n  \n
