You will receive your Zoom link/invitation the week of the workshop.\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 6 CEs | $190.00\nNarrative therapy invites us to view problems as separate from people and identity as something shaped through story\, culture\, and relationship. This day-long continuing education training offers clinicians a deep dive into the philosophical foundations and clinical applications of narrative therapy\, including externalization\, mapping the influence of the problem\, re-authoring conversations\, and definitional ceremonies. Participants will explore how dominant cultural narratives around pathology\, productivity\, trauma\, and identity influence both clients and clinicians — and how narrative practices can gently disrupt those scripts. \nThis training is highly experiential. Clinicians will leave with immediately usable interventions\, sample language for sessions\, and a deeper awareness of how their own professional identities are shaped by story. The emphasis throughout the day is on practical skill-building\, relational witnessing\, and reclaiming therapeutic conversations as spaces of possibility\, agency\, and meaning-making. \nWorkshop Objectives:\nBy the end of this training\, participants will be able to: \n\nDescribe the philosophical foundations of narrative therapy\, including social constructionism\, externalization\, and the role of power in shaping identity narratives.\nDemonstrate the use of externalizing language to separate clients from problem-saturated stories in clinical conversations.\nApply re-authoring techniques to help clients identify unique outcomes and develop preferred identity narratives.\nFacilitate at least one structured experiential narrative intervention (e.g.\, definitional ceremony\, therapeutic letter writing\, or story-mapping exercise).\nAnalyze how cultural\, systemic\, and contextual factors influence dominant narratives impacting clients’ lives.\nIntegrate narrative practices into their existing clinical orientation while maintaining ethical and culturally responsive care.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n  \n

This day-long course is designed for therapists who want to deepen their skills and understanding. \nThis brand-new workshop offers an in-depth exploration of ecological\, biopsychosocial\, and somatic theories\, including biophilia\, ecopsychology\, polyvagal theory\, mindfulness-based approaches\, and Jungian theory\, among others\, as well as practical strategies for integrating them into your clinical practice. Through experiential exercises\, interactive lectures\, and case discussions\, you’ll gain tools to: \n\nApply advanced interventions\,\nLearn scales and measurements for tracking progress and efficacy\,\nNavigate ethical and cultural considerations\,\nChoose appropriate approaches for specific issues and diagnosis\, and\nEnhance outcomes for both clients and yourself by engaging nature as co-therapist.\n\nObjectives:\n\nExplore advanced ecological and psychological theories.\nPractice nature-based somatic and expressive arts interventions with intention and mindfulness.\nAddress cultural and ecological diversity with sensitivity and integrity.\nIntegrate NBT and ET with numerous trauma-informed\, client-centered approaches.\nUnderstand evidence-based scales and measures that apply to outdoor therapy.\nAdvance your understanding of treatment appropriateness with case studies.\n\nIndoor and Outdoor Sessions\nThis workshop will be divided into an indoor morning session and an outdoor afternoon session\, separated by the lunch hour.
