SUMMARY:SPECIAL SALE! The Science of Gender & Resistance: Empowering Ourselves and Our Clients with Practical Neuroscience
DESCRIPTION:Last-Minute Deal! $30 Off!\nHealthy Equity or Cultural Competence CEs!\nThe Science of Gender & Resistance: Empowering Ourselves and Our Clients with Practical Neuroscience\nPresented by: Hannah Smith\, MA\, LMHC\, CGP\nWhen: Wednesday\, April 22\, 2026| 9:00 am – 12:15 pm Pacific Time\nWhere: Live on Zoom. You will receive workshop details the week of the workshop.\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 3 Health Equity or Cultural Competence CEs | $95.00 NOW ONLY $65.00!\nGender is a hot-button topic these days\, for sure! There is so much dis- and misinformation out there. There is presently no societal consensus on the meaning of gender identity and the plethora of science behind this. Some people will even go so far as to say there is no science and that it’s “All (simply) about chromosomes.” \nMany of us know on a gut level this is not true\, but we cannot put what we know into words. In fact\, even doctors\, parents\, and transgender and non-binary people themselves can struggle to do so. \nThen\, even if we could explain it\, we face friends\, loved-ones\, and strangers who belittle\, dehumanize\, ignore\, or shut us down whenever we try to explain. Those who know little to nothing about gender will put their own world views over those of a multitude of experts – even to the point of attempting to erase and entire people group. \nAt a time when educating society on this important topic is at an all-time high\, the resistance we face is not only maddening\, it is downright traumatizing. In this training\, you will learn the actual (and abundant) science behind gender development.\nYou will learn to differentiate clearly between sex\, gender\, and orientation and how to articulate it all in a concise and coherent way. \nAND… \nYou will also learn the biology that underlies the resistance LGBTQIA+ people face when attempting to explain themselves. You will gain a new understanding of what is happening inside “the other side” so you or your clients can manage your own nervous system activation during these difficult discussions. Practical techniques will be added to this new understanding to help with emotion regulation and staying empowered. \nObjectives: \n\n1. List and describe the science of gender development and how it differs from sex\,\norientation\, and other aspects of identity\n2. Identify the neurobiological regions in the brain and body responsible for distortions\,\nimplicit bias\, and other psychological resistances\n3. Explain the neurobiological mechanisms of resistance with the aim of helping clients to\nmanage their own activation during difficult discussions\n4. Apply practical\, evidence-based techniques to manage activation and empower more\naccurate storytelling during difficult conversations\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n

All of the sessions are as follows:\n\n\nFriday\, April 24th\, 2026 MORE INFO >>>\n\n\nFriday\, June 19th\, 2026 MORE INFO >>>\n\n\nFriday\, August 14th\, 2026 MORE INFO >>>\n\n\nFriday\, September 11th\, 2026 MORE INFO >>>\n\n\nFriday\, October 16th\, 2026 MORE INFO >>>\n\n\nWe’re eager to welcome you to the beautiful ONE Center on the South Salish Sea for a day of simple self-care in nature. 2026 is our sixth year providing this monthly workshop to colleagues from WA\, OR\, MT\, and beyond. During this nature-based workshop\, you have full permission to slow down\, rest\, and tend to your own health and well-being WHILE earning ethics credits. \nAll codes of ethics have been revised to include the ethical imperative to practice self-care. These ethical guidelines give us permission to do just that through professional development. We’ll review ethical codes and explore research findings indicating how and why the therapist’s psychological health and well-being directly relate to treatment outcomes for clients.  Indeed\, how we show up matters. Therefore\, finding ways to practice caring for oneself is not only a personal responsibility and a gift to oneself\, but also an ethical obligation. \nThis is a unique retreat-style\, experiential workshop with invitations to practice simple self-care inspired by Japan’s shinrin-yoku. Brenda is a mindfulness-based therapist\, a certified Eco Therapist\, and a certified Forest Therapy Guide. She’s been teaching clients and colleagues how to lean into mindfulness in nature for health and well-being since founding The ONE Center in 2020. \nWith Brenda’s guidance\, we’ll walk short distances through the forest and by the sea\, sit spotting along the way while learning simple\, evidence-based self-care practices to use anytime\, anyplace.  Colleagues have come multiple times\, sharing they feel increasingly grounded and connected to their body\, mind\, and soul as the day unfolds.  This deep learning is inspiring and supports ethical work by encouraging the continued use of simple self-care practices at home and at work. When our nervous system is settled\, we are emotionally regulated and can help our clients feel more embodied\, at ease\, and connected to others\, too. \nWithout ongoing self-care\, providing mental health care can deplete and exhaust us\, leading to burnout\, compassion fatigue\, and secondary vicarious trauma. Added stress from the global polycrisis (social\, political\, racial\, financial\, environmental\, etc.) can result in feeling overwhelmed\, isolated\, and hopeless. And yet\, we must show up to provide care for so many who are suffering. If this resonates with you\, know that you are not alone.  Each summer\, we find solace in a community of colleagues\, in nature\, bearing witness and tending to the pain for healing. This is the mindful way.  We hope you come to ONE\, a sanctuary created specifically for those of us providing care to others\, for a gentle landing and a warm welcome.  We got your back… we’re here for you. \nWORKSHOP OBJECTIVES\nIn this workshop\, you will \n\nExplore experientially a variety of ways to practice simple self-care\nLearn about ethical implications for practicing self-care\nUnderstand research correlating clinician health and well-being to treatment outcomes for clients\nAssess your current overall health and well-being\nAssess your professional quality of life\nIdentify lifestyle choices that are supportive or undermine health and well-being\nDevelop a realistic action plan for improved health and well-being\n\nWhat attendees of this workshop are saying: \n“The beautiful time in nature and SLOWING DOWN! Thank you for curating a safe and nourishing environment to just BE.” \n“Where to start! I enjoyed the land! The atmosphere of acceptance and compassion. The experiential approach. The connection to ethics. The opportunities to connect with ourselves and peers. The worksheets for reflection and self-assessment. I loved everything!” \n“The beautiful and nurturing environment allowed everyone to feel safe and be vulnerable. I admire the bravery and ability of the other attendees to open up and share their experiences\, struggles\, and challenges. It helps us all feel less alone.” \n“This workshop – and the ONE Center – is truly a gift that every mental health professional should give themselves! Hands down\, this is the best continuing education workshop I’ve ever attended.” \nREGISTER HERE\n  \n

MORE INFO & TO REGISTER >>>\nThis workshop is for colleagues ready to experience new ways of learning and growing in real time by bringing the practice of mindfulness outdoors\, on land\, and on water.  You’re invited to come to ONE\, a nature-based retreat center for health care professionals on the beautiful South Salish Sea outside Olympia\, WA. \nDuring this professional development workshop\, we will learn about mindfulness through experiential exercises. The first part of the day is in a lovely flower-filled Courtyard Garden and focused on learning what mindfulness is\, how it’s different from meditation\, and reviewing research supporting this practice.  We’ll discuss how stress plays a key role in illness and disease (physical and mental) and how to prevent and reduce illness for yourself and clients\, too. \nWe’ll share simple\, evidence-based practices to increase awareness and empower you to recognize and reduce stress in daily life. You’ll learn breathwork to effectively pull the rip cord on your parasympathetic nervous system parachute to bring yourself back to center whenever and wherever stress shows up.  We’ll help you develop the language of mindfulness and explore ways of integrating these practices into your work with clients. \nAfter lunch\, participants will head to beautiful Gallagher Cove for sea kayaking 101 skills training. You’ll learn about mindful kayaking\, an invitation to practice non-striving on the water.  “There is no place to go\, and no place be. This is it\, right here\, right now.” On the water\, we’ll field-test our mindful skills for stress/anxiety management and practice responding in ways that regulate our mind\, emotions\, body\, and behavior. By paying attention in a particular way\, on purpose\, in the present moment\, we’ll learn how to navigate the stress and anxiety of “unpleasant” emotions\, body sensations\, and distorted thinking by choosing new ways of being through the practice of mindfulness.  This will be guided in a spirit of play to cultivate mindfulness by noticing the awe and wonder of beauty all around us in nature\, in community with colleagues. Ultimately\, noticing the pleasant is a mindful practice that serves us very well. \nWhether you’re an avid paddler or have no experience but feel called by the South Salish Sea\, join us in this learning and beauty. Gallagher Cove at The ONE Center is a shallow\, protected\, remarkably beautiful place for brand new paddlers. We’ll provide thorough safety instruction and all the equipment needed (sea kayak\, paddle\, and PDF).  You’re invited to arrive Thursday evening and/or stay over Friday night to camp on the land or stay in one of our cozy cabins to really drop in and enjoy mindfulness on land and water. If you’d like to come the night before or stay over on Friday night after the workshop\, you can explore the lodging options provided by the ONE Center here. MORE INFO & TO REGISTER >>>\nAre you ready to come back to ONE for your annual Self-Care Check-Up? Just like an annual physical exam\, on this day\, you can check in with “the Doctor” to reassess your health and well-being\, assess progress toward goals\, and discuss challenges along the way. Except in this scenario\, you are the “Doctor!” Come\, step off the busy treadmill of life to pause\, drop in\, and check in with yourself while earning 6 ethics credits! \nLike Ethics of Simple Self-Care in Nature Day 1\, this workshop is retreat-style\, nature-based\, and very experiential. In our welcoming circle\, we’ll begin the day by connecting\, building community\, and savoring the good company of colleagues.  We’ll take time to complete the Professional Quality of Life Scale (ProQOL) and the Professional Self-Care Assessment during the annual checkup. Bring your assessment measures from the Day 1 workshop\, or no worries if you don’t have them. Trust your inner guide to know where you’ve been and where you are now. \nThroughout the day\, we’ll spend time in community and on our own as we sit spot on the land and by the water\, resting in awareness and writing reflectively. We’ll explore new\, simple self-care practices from nature therapy and mindful self-compassion. All practices are evidence-based ways to activate the parasympathetic nervous system anytime\, anyplace. All can be shared with clients to support their health and well-being.  We’ll revisit research explaining why self-care is essential for health care providers and take a deeper dive into the ethics of practicing self-care through the collaborative Practice of Council around the campfire. We’ll discuss our own biases\, real-life challenges\, values & beliefs\, and find ways to acknowledge\, support\, and problem-solve together. \nSelf-care can be quite simple but seldom easy\, especially when caring for others.  Self-care is living mindfully.  It requires ongoing intention and attention to skill building\, giving and receiving support\, and holding oneself accountable. We hope you answer the call this season of care and come back for your Self Care Check Up at ONE. You’ll be in the good company of colleagues\, supported by the healing power of nature. \nWORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:\n\nReassess your compassion satisfaction\, burnout\, and secondary traumatic stress.\nReassess your current self-care across 5 life domains.\nExplore experientially a variety of ways to practice simple self-care\nIdentify lifestyle choices that are supporting or undermining your health and well-being.\nRevisit research correlating clinician health and well-being to treatment outcomes for clients.\nRevisit ethical implications for practicing/not practicing self-care.\nRefine your realistic action plan for improved self-care\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n

DESCRIPTION:BRAND-NEW!\nHealth Equity or Cultural Competence CEs\nMore than a Personality Test: How to Work Mindfully with Enneagram\nPresented by: Dr. Jennifer Manlowe\nWhen: Thursday\, June 11th\, 2026 | 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Pacific Time\nWhere: Live via Zoom (you’ll receive the link the week of the workshop)\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 6 CEs – 2 Meet Health Equity or Cultural Competence Requirements | Cost: $199.00\nThis continuing education workshop weaves mindfulness practice and Enneagram wisdom to help clinicians recognize how personality patterns emerge as adaptive responses to suffering. Through meditation\, inquiry\, and embodied awareness\, participants learn how to work skillfully with shame\, fixation\, and reactivity—supporting clients with complex PTSD in moving from defensive patterning toward grounded presence and self-compassion. \nWORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:\nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be able to see: \n\nA framing of Enneagram as a map of psycho-social conditioning— not as a typology to label clients\, but as a lens on how trauma crystallizes around core fears and strategies.\nTools to use mindfulness and meditation practices as nervous-system support— practices that cultivate tolerance for experience rather than bypass it.\nWorking with manifestations of shame as central to therapy— how each type organizes around avoiding a specific wound\, and how mindfulness softens that structure.\nEmbodiment and gentleness— aligning with somatic psychotherapy by staying close to lived\, felt experience rather than abstract insight.\nLearning how to help our clients move from fixation to freedom— reframing personality not as pathology\, but as a doorway to awakening.\n\nThe tone of this workshop is non-pathologizing and invitational—less about technique and more about cultivating our own therapeutic presence as the primary healing field. Attendees will experience a workshop that is: \n\nExperiential rather than overly theoretical\nFocused on befriending rather than fixing\nEmphasizing compassion\, specificity\, and curiosity\nFraming the Enneagram as a map of ego survival strategies that can be met with mindfulness awareness\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n  \n

For questions about lodging\, please email the ONE Center at ournewexperiences@gmail.com\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 6 CEs | $199.00\nCome to ONE to explore and experience mindfulness in nature. This workshop is the confluence of mindfulness\, cognitive-based therapy\, and eco therapy\, creating an innovative paradigm for providing holistic\, client-centered care to support both client and clinician well-being.  Come\, learn about the Mindfulness Movement that continues to change lives worldwide by helping people wake up and discover new ways to live a more peaceful\, joy-filled\, and healthier life. This movement includes different clinical Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI’s) effective for helping people suffer less from insomnia\, chronic pain\, depression\, anxiety\, substance abuse\, suicidality\, and other painful conditions. \nWhile psychological interventions are typically knowledge-based and directed toward client change\, irrespective of the clinician’s health and well-being\, Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI’s) are different.  They require clinicians practice what they preach and teach from their practice. So\, let’s practice mindfulness together at the beautiful ONE Center on the South Salish Sea just outside Olympia\, WA.  ONE is a beautiful and special place created specifically for health care providers. And this day of learning is designed to support your health and well-being WHILE earning continuing education credits too! This workshop is retreat-style\, nature-based\, and experiential. We’ll be walking slowly for short distances\, pausing along the way in the forest and by the sea. This will allow participants to experience mindfulness by slowing down\, pausing\, and resting in moments of presence and awareness.  This supports deep learning through connection with oneself\, colleagues\, and the natural world. \nYou’ll learn about the research-based benefits of integrating MBI’s in clinical practice and what makes them unique from other interventions. You’ll develop an understanding of the autonomic\, sympathetic\, and parasympathetic nervous system so you can explain to clients the mind/body relationship to chronic stress (CBT thinking errors)\, mental health conditions (depression/anxiety/panic attacks)\, somatic symptoms\, and behavior patterns. Together\, we’ll practice simple breathing techniques to activate the parasympathetic nervous system to facilitate somatic\, cognitive\, and emotional regulation. You’ll learn research-supported simple practices you can teach clients to support their health and well-being\, while simultaneously supporting yours.  In addition\, we’ll explore questions including: What is mindfulness? What does it mean to BE mindful and to practice mindfulness?  What’s the difference between mindfulness and meditation? What does research suggest about integrating mindfulness in mental health care? \nWe hope you come\, explore\, and experience mindfulness in nature through invitations from the beautiful land\, gardens\, forest\, and waters of the South Salish Sea at The ONE Center. \nWorkshop Objectives:\nIn this workshop\, you will \n\nUnderstand the benefits of integrating MBI’s in clinical practice and the necessity to teach from one’s lived experience.\nLearn what mindfulness is and how to develop a daily practice for yourself and your clients.\nExplore the language\, concepts\, and phenomena of mindfulness.\nLearn about the mind/body relationship between chronic stress (CBT Thinking Errors) and health (depression/anxiety/panic attacks)\, enabling you to explain the Autonomic\, Sympathetic\, and Parasympathetic Nervous System to clients.\nPractice various breathing techniques to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and facilitate emotional regulation.\nLearn formal and informal mindfulness practices for therapeutic use with clients (guided meditation\, mindful walking\, walking meditation\, body scan\, mindful eating\, STOP method\, etc.)\nBecome familiar with how to explain the relationship between CBT thinking errors and mindfulness to provide more holistic care to clients.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n

SUMMARY:Enneagram and Internal Family Systems (IFS): Working with Our EnneaTypes and Our Parts
DESCRIPTION:Enneagram and Internal Family Systems (IFS): Working with Our EnneaTypes and Our Parts\nPresented by: Dr. Jennifer Manlowe\nWhen: Thursday\, July 23rd\, 2026 | 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Pacific Time\nWhere: Live via Zoom (you’ll receive the link the week of the workshop)\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 6 CEs | Cost: $190.00\nWorkshop Description:\nBoth Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the Enneagram have been used to gather people eager to understand and work with troubling thoughts\, feelings\, and behaviors\, and to do so on a deeper level than “Talk Therapy” alone. \nIn this continuing education workshop\, we will explore how both schools of thought intersect to inspire harmony of mind-body-emotion in our clients and ourselves. \nAfter attending this workshop\, you’ll be on your way to understanding the basics of the Enneagram as a Wisdom Tradition and the fundamentals of IFS as a psychotherapeutic model (developed in the 1990s). \nYou’ll see that both schools of thought work to map out parts or sub-personalities within us—each with its own thoughts\, motivations\, and behaviors eager for transformation. For instance\, with the Enneagram\, there are “three centers of intelligence\,” and in IFS\, there are three categories of parts: managers\, firefighters\, and exiles. Meeting and interviewing these parts has the power to foster freedom from old ideas of self and others. \nReturning to what Enneagram calls our essence or “higher self” and leaning into what IFS calls “Self-Energy” will be explored. Tripartite awareness practices will be shared. \nThe Enneagram is a personality typing test with nine distinct types of people. Like parts\, each type has its own core fears\, desires\, and motivations. When translated\, this symbol offers a psychospiritual model for growth that can be used by health professionals\, coaches\, and spiritual directors to gain self-awareness about patterns in clients’ (and our own) relationships. \nBoth the Enneagram and IFS methods can give us valuable insights into why our clients do the things they do and how to unmask and transform harmful behaviors in a curious\, compassionate\, and nonjudgmental way. \nWhether you’re looking to understand yourself better as a helping professional\, strengthen your skills with your clients\, or cultivate growth through tri-partite awareness (mind-body-heart) work\, both models provide tools that will deepen insights and help you along the way. \nWORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:\nBy the end of the workshop\, you’ll be able to assist your clients in finding an integrative approach on their path to healing by first: \n\nIdentify the general healing frameworks of Enneagram Wisdom and Internal Family Systems\nUse Enneagram Wisdom as a method for “mapping” our IFS parts\nDistinguish the systemic origins of one’s EnneaStyle (an intersectional approach)\nUncover how to work with your clients’ (and your own) disowned “parts”\nGain insight into how EnneaStyles and IFS parts can evolve with compassionate curiosity\nBuild a bridge from your preferred therapeutic models to your newfound Ennea and IFS Insights\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Ethics of Self-Disclosure: To Tell or Not To Tell
DESCRIPTION:Law & Ethics CEs\nEthics of Self-Disclosure: To Tell or Not To Tell\nPresented by: Diane Bigler\, LCSW\, LSCSW\nWhen: Wednesday\, July 29th\, 2026| 9:00 AM – 12:15 PM\, Pacific Time\nWhere: Live on Zoom. You will receive your Zoom link/invitation the week of the workshop.\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 3 Law & Ethics CEs | $99.00\nWorkshop Description:\nWhat were you taught about self-disclosure to clients in grad school? Are you wondering whether or not to disclose “something” to your clients? Self-disclosure in therapy is complex and dynamic. During this workshop\, we will have our eye on ethics as we explore considerations for clinician self-disclosure to clients. Self-disclosure has several dimensions\, including clinical\, therapeutic\, technical\, and\, in some cases\, legal or regulatory. We will examine the nature of self-disclosure\, including potential benefits and risks. You’re invited to ONE\, a nature-based retreat center for health care professionals\, on the beautiful South Salish Sea outside Olympia\, WA. This unique professional development retreat is the confluence of mindfulness\, cognitive-behavioral therapy\, and ecotherapy\, offering an avenue to experience nature’s powerful healing. Day one of the retreat is about learning how chronic stress undermines health and well-being\, often leading to mental health conditions like panic disorder\, depression\, and anxiety. You’ll learn how to identify “indicator lights” of chronic stress for yourself and clients and then experience simple\, nature-based mindfulness practices designed to relax\, center\, and deeply ground oneself in the present moment through the portals of our senses. You’ll learn why and how to use these nature-based mindfulness interventions in your daily life and practice teaching them to clients as well. \nOutside in nature\, through discussion and shared resources\, you’ll learn how stress plays a key role in illness and disease (physical and mental) and how to identify stress reactions in your body\, mind\, and soul. In the forest\, gardens\, and meadows at ONE\, we’ll teach you simple\, research-based ways to decrease symptoms of stress\, depression\, and anxiety and prevent panic attacks.  You’ll learn how to pull the ripcord on your parasympathetic nervous system parachute\, to bring yourself back to center whenever and wherever stress shows up. Participants will learn diaphragmatic breathing to calm the body and improve neurological processing. This facilitates emotional regulation\, enhances immune function\, and improves sleep quality. We’ll help you develop the language of mindfulness and ecotherapy and explore ways of integrating these practices into your work with clients. In the evening\, we’ll share dinner and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the land and water in the good company of colleagues – all to be topped off with an evening campfire and s’mores. \nAfter a nourishing breakfast on Day Two of the retreat\, we’ll head to beautiful Gallagher Cove for sea kayaking 101 skills training. Leaders will teach you mindful kayaking and invite you to practice non-striving on the water. “There is no place to go\, and no place be. This is it\, right here\, right now.” Together\, we’ll enjoy a slow\, gentle paddle while “field testing” newfound stress-management skills. By paying attention in a particular way\, on purpose\, in the present moment\, participants will learn how to navigate the stress of unpleasant emotions\, body sensations\, and distorted thinking by choosing new ways of being through the practice of mindfulness. You will be guided in the spirit of fun to cultivate mindfulness by noticing the awe and wonder of beauty in the surrounding nature and in the community of your colleagues. Ultimately\, noticing the pleasant is a practice that serves us very well. Following lunch (bring your own)\, we’ll have time to process the lived experiences of mindfulness on water and explore ways to integrate and expand the practice of mindfulness and eco therapy into clinical work with clients. The day will end with a closing ceremony with tea made from gifts from the land at ONE. \nWhether you’re new to mindfulness and eco therapy or have years of experience\, you’re welcome at ONE. Whether you’re an avid paddler or have no experience but feel called from the South Salish Sea\, come join us. Beautiful Gallagher Cove is a protected\, shallow place to learn kayaking. We’ll provide thorough instruction focused on safety\, along with all the equipment needed (sea kayak\, personal flotation device\, paddle). We invite you to camp on the land before and/or after the workshop to really drop in and enjoy mindfulness on land and water. \n Workshop Objectives: \nIn this workshop\, you will \n\nLearn what mindfulness is and how to practice it for yourself so you can teach your clients.\nUnderstand the research-based benefits of integrating Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI) in clinical practice.\nUnderstand the research-based benefits of integrating nature therapy in clinical practice.\nExplore the language\, concepts\, and phenomena of mindfulness and nature therapy.\nLearn about the Autonomic Nervous System and the important functions of both the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic responses.\nLearn ways to experience and teach diaphragmatic breathing.\nLearn how to connect the dots between CBT thinking errors and the Autonomic Nervous System.\nUnderstand the mind/body relationship between chronic stress & mental health conditions\, including stress/depression/anxiety/panic attacks\nLearn common symptoms of stress reactions (behavioral\, cognitive\, emotional\, and physical)\nLearn simple nature-based mindfulness practices to activate the parasympathetic nervous system.\nLearn emotional regulation skills.\nLearn ways to integrate mindfulness in nature into clinical practice.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n

SUMMARY:Ethics of Simple Self-Care in Nature – Day 1
DESCRIPTION:Law & Ethics CEs!\nEthics of Simple Self-Care in Nature – Day 1\nPresented by: Dr. Brenda Butterfield\, EdD\, MSW\, LMHC \nWhen: Friday\, August 14th\, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM\, Pacific Time\nWhere: Live in person at the ONE Center (7400 Gallagher Cove Road NW\, Olympia\, WA 98502)\nLodging Information: If you’d like to come the night before or stay over on Friday night after the workshop\, you can explore the lodging options provided by the ONE Center here. For questions about lodging\, please email the ONE Center at ournewexperiences@gmail.com\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 6 Law & Ethics CEs | $199.00\nThis workshop is offered several times throughout 2026.

SUMMARY:🆕BRAND-NEW! Narrative Therapy as Transformational Practice: Re-Authoring the Soul 🆕
DESCRIPTION:BRAND-NEW!\nNarrative Therapy as Transformational Practice: Re-Authoring the Soul\nPresented by: Dreya Blume\, LCSW\nWhen: Wednesday\, August 26th\, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM\, Pacific Time\nWhere: Live on Zoom. You will receive your Zoom link/invitation the week of the workshop.\nContinuing Education Credit Hours: 6 CEs | $190.00\nNarrative therapy invites us to view problems as separate from people and identity as something shaped through story\, culture\, and relationship. This day-long continuing education training offers clinicians a deep dive into the philosophical foundations and clinical applications of narrative therapy\, including externalization\, mapping the influence of the problem\, re-authoring conversations\, and definitional ceremonies. Participants will explore how dominant cultural narratives around pathology\, productivity\, trauma\, and identity influence both clients and clinicians — and how narrative practices can gently disrupt those scripts. \nThis training is highly experiential. Clinicians will leave with immediately usable interventions\, sample language for sessions\, and a deeper awareness of how their own professional identities are shaped by story. The emphasis throughout the day is on practical skill-building\, relational witnessing\, and reclaiming therapeutic conversations as spaces of possibility\, agency\, and meaning-making. \nWorkshop Objectives:\nBy the end of this training\, participants will be able to: \n\nDescribe the philosophical foundations of narrative therapy\, including social constructionism\, externalization\, and the role of power in shaping identity narratives.\nDemonstrate the use of externalizing language to separate clients from problem-saturated stories in clinical conversations.\nApply re-authoring techniques to help clients identify unique outcomes and develop preferred identity narratives.\nFacilitate at least one structured experiential narrative intervention (e.g.\, definitional ceremony\, therapeutic letter writing\, or story-mapping exercise).\nAnalyze how cultural\, systemic\, and contextual factors influence dominant narratives impacting clients’ lives.\nIntegrate narrative practices into their existing clinical orientation while maintaining ethical and culturally responsive care.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n  \n

\nWORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:\n\nReassess your compassion satisfaction\, burnout\, and secondary traumatic stress.\nReassess your current self-care across 5 life domains.\nExplore experientially a variety of ways to practice simple self-care\nIdentify lifestyle choices that are supporting or undermining your health and well-being.\nRevisit research correlating clinician health and well-being to treatment outcomes for clients.\nRevisit ethical implications for practicing/not practicing self-care.\nRefine your realistic action plan for improved self-care\n\nREGISTER HERE\n  \n  \n
